While we're complaining about technology . . .

Spammers really irk me. Clearly there are way too many people who have a great deal of intelligence but are unable to channel it into, say, preventing another blackout, coming up with a renewable energy source that isn't dependent on climate, or solving world hunger. No, they have to spend their time writing viruses and worms that clutter up my inbox and junk mail folder.

• I AM A WOMAN! I am not interested in cheap Viagra or Cialis, or in any (ahem) "techniques to improve my size."
• I have a perfectly good job, and even if I were looking, I'd want a gig where I'd actually be on the payroll and get a W-2 at the end of the year instead of getting paid by wire transfers.
• I know where I bank and where I have credit cards. I'm not going to fall for a phishing e-mail.
• I don't want a payday advance. Those cause way too many problems for people.
• I really don't want to get links to pornographic videos, especially not at my work account.

Will someone please come up with a way to get rid of spam?
